POLICE are stepping up an appeal for witnesses to an assault in a Kent night spot.

A 26-year-old woman had a glass pushed in her face, causing cuts, at Piper’s Nightclub in Folkestone.

The incident occurred just before 2am in the early hours of Sunday, January 14, in the upstairs part of the club. The victim was involved in an argument with a white man just before the assault.

Police have handed out leaflets in the club in the past few weeks appealing for witnesses to come forward but still need to hear from clubbers who were at Pipers at the time and may be able to help.

Anyone who saw the incident, or has any information about the offender, is asked to contact PC Matthew Avery on 01303 850055.Alternatively, if you want to remain anonymous, call Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
