Disabled woman mugged on footpath

A 53-year-old disabled woman was mugged as she walked along a footpath in Folkestone.

The victim had been to collect her benefit money and was walking home along the path from the lower pond to Radnor Park when she was approached from behind.

She was pushed to the ground and had her handbag, which contained more than £200 stolen.

Police believe the culprits were at least two youths. Anyone who witnessed the robbery which happened last Wednesday, or has information about who is responsible, is asked to contact PC Tony Hughes on 01303 850055.
