Gary Stannage and Michael Atkinson charged with burglary in West Cliff Gardens

A duo have been charged with two counts of burglary each following a raid at a Kent MP's office.

Gary Stannage, 45, of Broadmead Road in Folkestone and Michael Atkinson, 36, of no fixed address, were charged with two counts of burglary each.

The charges relate to the burglary of MP Damian Collins' office and the Vanity Flair spa above it in West Cliff Gardens in Folkestone between August 7-8 last year.

Mr Stannage is next due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on February 7.

Mr Atkinson has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court via video link on January 11.
