Eurotunnel passengers faced delays of up to 30 minutes after a migrant is believed to have been electrocuted.

The man died on the French terminal, and is thought to be the tenth to have lost their life since June.

A freight shuttle, which departed at 10.20pm on Thursday was stopped shortly after the French platforms due to migrants being found on the tracks.

When the shuttle was searched, a number were found on board, one was unconscious and one injured.

The emergency services arrived at the scene and took the two men into their care.

Authorities have confirmed a man has since died, but have not yet verified the cause as electrocution.

John Keefe, Eurotunnel director, said: "This sad incident shows once again that any attempt to travel illegally through the Channel Tunnel is fraught with danger."

Freight travelling from Folkestone to Calais is faced delays of around three-and-a-half hours.

Serviced appeared to be back to normal by today (Saturday).
