Firefighters were called to a blaze at a domestic garage.

They turned up at 4.45pm following reports of smoke coming from a garage adjoining a house at Orr Close, Hawkinge.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus put out the flames using a main jet and a high-pressure hose reel jet.

The adjoining property was affected by smoke.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said that there were no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire is not yet known.

Firefighters were at the scene until just after 6.20pm.
