Folkestone Harbour Street cordoned off by police

Four police cars and two ambulances have been spotted in a street where a cordon was put in place.

Officers were pictured guarding the scene in Harbour Street, Folkestone, close to the town’s popular harbour arm.

The cordon stretched from the London and Paris Hotel to the bottom of the Old High Street but businesses remained open.

The police and ambulance services have been contacted for further information.

The cordon had been lifted by 2.45pm.
