Folkestone cliffs: Leas Lift closed off as police and ambulance called

Police and paramedics descended on a car park at the foot of cliffs in Folkestone this afternoon.

The area was used a rendezvous point for an operation launched across town in Harbour Way, where there were reports of a firearms incident.

The Leas Lift

There were around six ambulance vehicles at the bottom of the Leas Cliff.

Police have also parked up near the scene in the car park on the seafront close to the Leas Lift.
