Officers are hunting for suspects responsible for growing cannabis in Sandgate after finding 66 plants in a raid at the weekend.

Police found the plants in Sandgate High Street while they were in the area on "an unrelated matter" on Saturday, a spokesman confirmed.

However, the property was unoccupied at the time police entered the building and found the plants along with equipment used to cultivate the drug.
