A YOUNG couple from Kent are celebrating after winning the Lotto jackpot.

Ollie Kennedy and Kelly Lucas, both 18, discovered they were winners on Sunday afternoon when they checked their numbers on Teletext.

The couple, who have a seven-month-old son Danny, won £716,766 after matching all six numbers. They plan to use their winnings to buy a house together.

Kelly plans to continue her hairdressing course at the Folkestone Academy and Ollie says he will take up a job at Asda in Folkestone, where he recently had an interview, if he is offered one.

They will also both start taking driving lessons, with Kelly wanting to buy a pink Peugeot 206 and Ollie having his eyes on a modest Vauxhall Corsa.

Ollie proposed to Kelly three months ago but the pair are not rushing into a wedding just yet.

So far they have only splashed out on a few new clothes and are still in shock at having won so much money.

Kelly said: “Ollie said we’d won and I didn’t believe him. “We kept looking at the ticket. We were shocked. Then we started jumping up and down.”
