David Bates of Marine Terrace charged after armed police called to Folkestone

A man has been charged after armed police were called to Folkestone.

David Bates, 31-years-old, of Marine Terrace, has been charged with the possession of a knife and criminal damage.

It follows an incident in the same road yesterday morning which saw a cordon set up while officers with guns and a dog unit swarmed the area.

A spokesman said: "He has been remanded in custody and will appear before the virtual court, via video link on Monday, October 22, 2018."
