Stephen Campbell charged with GBH and attempted robbery after man suffers facial injuries at Gran Canaria Hotel in Folkestone

A man has been charged after a person suffered facial injuries at a hotel.

An investigation was launched following an assault in a room in the Gran Canaria Hotel on Marine Parade, Folkestone.

During the incident, which occurred during the evening of Friday, July 19, a man in his 50s sustained facial injuries.

Stephen Campbell, of no fixed address, was arrested the next day and charged with causing grievous bodily harm and attempted robbery.

He appeared via a video link at Medway Magistrates' Court yesterday and was remanded in custody.

The case will next be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, August 19.
