Motorcyclist taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford after crash with taxi in Folkestone

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash with a taxi in Folkestone this morning.

Paramedics were called following the collision on the junction with Sandgate Road and Earl's Avenue at 7.30am.

South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed paramedics treated a man in his 40s at the scene for potential leg, pelvis and chest injuries.

A spokesman said he was taken to William Harvey Hospital, in Ashford, shortly after as a priority.

He added one ambulance and one response car were sent to the scene.

Kent Police officers were also called to the crash and closed part of the road while clearing debris.

The road reopened later in the morning.
