An Olympic athlete visited Kent this morning to support runners at their regular club park run.

Team GB hurdler Jack Green, who competed in Rio, helped out at the Folkestone ParkRun as part of the UK's "biggest sports day".

It was part of the first #IAmTeamGB event which is encouraging people to get active and take part in sport.

Thousands of venues open their doors for free across the country to give people a chance to try a range of sports.

Green, who competed in the 400m hurdles, reached the semi-finals in Rio and said he was looking forward to coming to Folkestone.

But he wasn't the only Olympian taking part in the run in Folkestone.

Marathon runner Barry Watson competed at the Montreal in 1976 and posed for a photograph with Green.
