Distressed woman at The Warren in Folkestone sparks emergency response

Emergency services descended on a clifftop to help a distressed woman.

Police, ambulance and coastguard services raced the the scene following reports of the incident in Folkestone .

Police attended the cliffs over The Warren last night

The incident last night in Wear Bay Road, near to The Warren, saw the Folkestone and Langdon Coastguard Rescue Teams sent out to assist police and ambulance services.

Thankfully, police officers were able to locate the woman and bring her to safely.

She is now in the care of medical professionals following the incident at around 10pm.

A police spokeswoman said: "Police were called to Wear Bay Road, Folkestone at around 10pm following a report of concern for a woman in distress."
