Police called to M20 wrong way driver near junction 11

Police were called to the motorway this morning after reports of a driver going the wrong way – again.

Traffic alerts warned drivers the coastbound carriageway was partially blocked around 8.50am due to a crash at junction 11 for Hythe/Westenhanger.

However police said no collision had been reported.

Just two days ago, 35-year-old Krzysztof Stopko was charged with causing injury by dangerous driving for allegedly travelling down the wrong way of the M20.

A police spokesman said: "We did receive a report at 8.50am of a vehicle driving the wrong way up the slip road off the M20 coastbound at junction 11.

"Officers attended the scene but no vehicle was found. No collision was reported."
