The police helicopter was launched in the early hours of the morning to help search for a missing person.

Residents contacted police to ask why the helicopter was hovering above Hawkinge, near Folkestone, at around 2am.

Police have now confirmed the helicopter was assisting with the search for a missing person, who has now been located.
