Two young men are in custody after being rescued when they tried to punt off the coast of Folkestone.

Their boat reportedly disappeared from Folkestone Harbour in the early hours of today.

The men were spotted by a fisherman who described them as being "out of control."

One of them had fallen in the water.

The coastguard says they were rescued by a tug boat.

The men were met at shore by an ambulance and were arrested by police at 4:45am.
