A landscaped mini-golf course will become the latest attraction at a popular seaside spot when it opens next month.

The 12-hole putting challenge, called Putters, is situated in the Beachside development close to the Folkestone Harbour Arm, alongside the Little Rock seafood restaurant and The Pilot beach bar.

As well as the adventure golf course there will also be a new cafe, and both will be run by Jamie and Emily Evans, the couple who operate the Leas Lift cafe a short distance away on the seafront.

"We are so excited to be opening up Putters," the couple said.

"To be able to own a cafe on the beach is a once in a lifetime opportunity, let alone having it be part of such a fun and popular attraction.

"Our aim is to bring a high quality, family-friendly food and drink offering to the site which, alongside a fun round of golf, should amount to an unforgettable trip to the beach.

"We can't wait to open the doors and welcome everyone down to the new seaside attraction."

Designing by City Golf Europe, a specialist in adventure golf which has created more than 350 courses across Europe, the new Putters course is currently under construction in an old storage yard located to the west of the neighbouring restaurant and bar.

Paulo Kingston-Correia, the general manager of the harbour, said: "The Harbour Arm is famous as a food, drink and entertainment venue in a gloriously unique setting.

"We are delighted to add to our experience by introducing a true family attraction in the shape of the Beachside Adventure Golf Course, this will be complemented by high-quality food and drink at Putters."
