Second man charged after stabbing in Folkestone

A second man has been charged after a stabbing in a residential street.

The attack happened in Bradstone Avenue, Folkestone, at 8.45pm on Friday, May 5.

A man was stabbed in the leg on steps leading away from the road.

He was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.

Christopher Hunter, 46, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Previously, a 30-year-old man was also charged with the same offence as well as assaulting an emergency worker.

A police spokesman said: “Following inquiries by East Kent CID, Christopher Hunter has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

“The 46-year-old appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, May 20 and was bailed to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, June 19.

“Previously, a 30-year-old man appeared before the same court on Monday, May 8, charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, in relation to the same incident, and assaulting an emergency worker.

“He was remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on a date in June.”
