A three-year-old boy had to be rescued by firefighters after getting his head stuck between a lampost and wall.

Folkestone firefighters were called to the incident at 3.10pm at Ship Street in Folkestone on Thursday.

One fire engine attended the scene after reports that the boy had managed to wedge his head between the two items.

Unable to move the lampost, firefighters had to pass the child 9ft up the side of the lampost to get him out.
