Folkestone man charged after police seize almost 1kg of amphetamines

A suspected drug dealer is due in court after police seized almost a kilogram of amphetamine during an arrest.

Officers acted after spotting a man acting suspiciously whilst on patrol in Folkestone on Monday morning.

They seized 949 grams of amphetamine, as well as two grams of cannabis, during the incident in Dover Road.

John Andrews, of Harbour Way in Folkestone, has been charged with possession with intent to supply with regards to the amphetamine, as well as possession of the cannabis.

Andrews, 42, is due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court today.
