Young man charged over stabbing

A 22-year-old man has been charged over a stabbing that left a man in intensive care.

Daniel Beresford, of Foord Road South, Folkestone, is accused of grevious bodily harm with intent following the incident in the town's Tontine Street.

Police say the attack happened at 4.15am on Thursday and a man in his 20s remains in intensive care at William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

He was treated for several stab wounds and is in a stable condition.
