Folkestone Invicta will not be re-signing Lee Gledhill this season.

The full-back started two of Folkestone's first three pre-season friendlies but he only managed 28 minutes against Dartford on Saturday.

"He’s got a problem with his back," Invicta boss Neil Cugley explained.

"To be fair to Gleds, he wanted to come back to see if he could give it a go and I think he’s struggling a bit.

"That’s alright. I’m not being nasty but he wasn’t really in our plans. It was a bonus to have him, especially when JV (Josh Vincent) was away but JV’s back now.

"With somebody like Gleds, he makes up his own mind (about playing this season).

"He wants to be around the club, come to training and just keep ticking along. That’s fine."

Folkestone are away to Lydd Town on Tuesday night.
