COVER: Richard Martin has been added to the goalkeeping ranks at Manchester City

FORMER Folkestone Invicta goalkeeper Richard Martin has been signed on a month's contract by Manchester City.

The 19-year-old was snapped up by new City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson after training with the Premier League club and featured in a recent reserve team game at Accrington Stanley.

With first-choice keeper Andreas Isaksson out for at least six weeks with a fractured finger, Eriksson wants additional goalkeeping cover.

Joe Hart and Kasper Schmeichel are City's other goalkeepers.

Martin impressed everybody when playing for Invicta in their last 12 matches last season.
