Three fire crews tackled an electrical fire lasting two hours in St Princes Street, Gravesend

Fifteen firefighters were called out this morning to tackle an electrical blaze in a building.

The teams, in three fire engines, were called to St Princes Street, Gravesend, just before 9.30am.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a thermal imaging camera - a hand-held device which reads temperatures and reveals hotspots in a building - to see if the fire had spread.

The fire was put out with a dry powder extinguisher at 11.15am and duty of care was then handed over to UK Power Networks.
