Hartley crash: Air ambulance called to collision on Parkfield

A man has been airlifted to a London hospital in a serious condition after crashing into a wall.

Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were scrambled to Hartley shortly after 1.10pm, following the collision.

It happened near the Ash Road junction of Parkfield.

It is understood the man was flown to Kings College Hospital with serious injuries.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 1.11pm to a report of a single vehicle collision between a van and a wall in Parkfield.

"Officers are currently at the scene. An air ambulance has also attended the scene and has taken a man to a hospital in London for treatment."
