An air ambulance has landed off the A2 at Singlewell in Gravesend after a car overturned.

Traffic has built up on the busy dual carriageway, going coast-bound, from near the Tollgate motel turn-off.

The congestion has been building since 2pm.

It is believed the car overturned on a bank off the road.

A police spokesman said: "Officers were called at 2pm to a report of an overturned car on the A2. The road was closed while air ambulance attended the scene. Road was reopened around 3:30pm.
