Air ambulance lands at Bat & Ball Cricket Ground, off Wrotham Road, Gravesend, after man dies

An air ambulance was forced to land on a sports field after a man died.

Emergency services were called just after 4.30pm yesterday to reports a man in his 50s had fallen ill at the Imperial Park Retail Estate, in Thames Way, Gravesend.

The air ambulance attended and had to land on the Bat & Ball Cricket Ground, off Wrotham Road.

Police spokesman Vicki Foster said: "The man was declared deceased at the scene and the circumstances are not being treated as suspicious.

"A report will be prepared for the coroner."
