Appeal after man absconds from prison and is wanted in connection with burglaries in Gravesend

Police are issuing an image of a man who absconded from a Derbyshire prison in June, and is now wanted in connection with various burglaries in the South East.

Adam James Yaroo absconded from Sudbury prison in Derbyshire on Monday, June 23.

He is now wanted by police in connection with two burglaries in Bromley in July, as well as burglary offences in Gravesend, Sussex, Surrey and Derbyshire.

Despite various enquiries to try and trace Yaroo, officers have been unable to locate him.

He is known to have connections to the London and Kent areas.

Yaroo is described as a white man, approximately 5ft 9ins, of stocky build, with short black hair and brown eyes.

Detective Constable Aaron Hobbs said: "As well as absconding from prison, Yaroo is also wanted by police in connection with several burglary offences.

"We would urge anyone who might have seen him or has information on his whereabouts to get in touch with police immediately."
