Man arrested following disturbance in Leander Drive, Riverview, Gravesend

Officers rushed to a parade of shops last night after reports of a fight.

A spokesman for the Gravesham unit posted online: "Swift response from officers in Gravesend to a fight in Riverview ended with one male in custody."

The force was called at around 6.33pm yesterday to the commercial premises and arrested a man on suspicion of criminal damage, common assault and a racially aggravated public order offence.

The suspect, a 37-year-old local man, was held in custody but was later released pending further investigation.
