Boy, 16, arrested after teen 'threatened with screwdriver' in Gravesend town centre

A teenage boy has been arrested after a teenager was 'threatened with a screwdriver' in the town centre.

Police were called to reports a young boy was threatened in Church Street, Gravesend, at around 7.20pm on Wednesday.

He described being approached by an unknown person who demanded his phone and allegedly threatened him with a screwdriver.

A 16-year-old was arrested on Wednesday

Officers attended the scene and a 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of robbery.

He has since been released on bail until Saturday, August 3.
