Arson attack causes £500,000 damage

LORRIES worth in excess of £500,000 were damaged in an arson attack in a Kent town.

The night duty security at the scene in Wharf Road, Gravesend, heard a loud bang and when he came out of his office he saw a number of lorries on fire.

Around eight lorries were damaged in the attack, which took place between 10pm and 10.30pm on Saturday.

Police are appealing for information and anyone who can help is asked to contact them on 01474 565220.
