A 17-year-old boy was hit the face after he had his mobile phone stolen in the street.

Detectives say the incident happened as the victim was talking on his phone as he walked in Cervia Way, Gravesend, towards a friend’s house.

A man grabbed the phone from the teenager's hand and then started to walk away. The victim followed asking for it back. The offender then turned round and struck him in the face.

The attack happened on December 12 between 4.30pm and 5pm. A 19-year-old man was later arrested in connection with this incident.
