Body found in search for missing man from Gravesend

A body has been found in the search for a missing man from Gravesend.

Tashan Larmond was reported to have last been seen heading in the direction of Shorne Woods Country Park.

The 26-year-old was reported to police as missing on Saturday and an appeal to trace him was launched.

But officers have now called off the search after discovering a body earlier today.

Formal identification has not yet taken place, but the family of Tashan Larmond have been informed.

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

Tashan was an aspiring music artist and early collaborator with G-Town Talents, a hip-hop talent collective based in Gravesend which works with young people to give them opportunities through music.

He featured on their track "Lockdown Dreams" which attempted to shine a light on the struggles of young people.

The singer was also part of a campaign by a school teacher from Swanley calling for more teaching of Black British history in schools.
