A boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car.

Hall Road, in Northfleet, was partially blocked in both directions between Earl Road and Mitchell Avenue after the accident.

Police and paramedics were called at 4.35pm to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

The boy was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution as no serious injuries were reported.

Officers have since left the scene.
