A cash machine was stolen from a village building society after being targeted by thieves in a night-time raid.

Police were called to Nationwide in Station Road, Longfield, at 12.46am on Thursday.

It is not known if anyone was hurt during the incident or how much money was taken.

A police spokesman said: "Enquiries are ongoing."

A spokesperson from Nationwide said: “We are aware that an incident took place at our Longfield branch and we are helping the police with their investigation.”
