Cats die in house blaze

TWO cats died when a fire started in a house in Gravesend.

Crews from Thames-side and Dartford were called to a house in Gloucester Road, Kings Farm, with false reports that people were trapped inside.

Firefighters with breathing apparatus tackled the blaze and rescued three cats. One of the animals was revived but the others died.

Police officers an ambulance crew also attended the fire in the early hours of Thursday morning. Police are investigating the incident.
