A large group of young men are said to have got off a train and assaulted the victim on the platform.

They punched him and hit him with bottles, including broken ones, and when the victim’s friends tried to intervene the group is said to have also assaulted them.

The man suffered swelling on his brain and serious facial injuries following the incident at around 10pm on Saturday, September 9.
