Woman suffers suspected broken back after car overturns in Meopham

A woman has been taken to hospital with a suspected broken back after an accident on the A227 Wrotham Road near Meopham.

Emergency services were called just after 12.15pm when a car overturned between the village and Istead Rise, near Nash Street.

Firefighters cut free a 68-year-old woman who had been trapped in the car by her injuries.

Wrotham Road was closed both directions closed, and drivers faced lengthy delays in the wake of the accident.
