Fire at industrial unit in Manor Way, Swanscombe

People were advised to keep their windows closed this morning as firefighters tackle a blaze in an industrial unit.

Ten fire engines were on the scene fighting the flames at the building in Manor Way, Swanscombe.

The fire started just before 7am and due to the amount of smoke in the area, homeowners were asked to keep their windows and doors closed.

They used height vehicle, hose layer, two bulk water carriers and the technical rescue team drone.

The fire was put out at 12.45pm.
