POLICE are appealing for help from two members of the public who helped an ambulance crew with an emergency call.

The ambulance was called to Homemead flats close to Parrock Street in Gravesend at 7pm on Sunday (July 27).

A 39-year-old man appeared to have fallen while walking past the flats, causing a serious head injury. He was taken to Darent Valley Hospital where he is still being treated.

Police are now seeking information from two men who were at the scene. Det Ch Insp Colin Croucher said: "It appears as though the man has fallen but we are appealing to these two men to come forward as they will hopefully be able to confirm how he sustained the injuries."

If you have any information on this incident contact North Kent Police on 01474 565167 or call Crimestoppers, free and confidentially, on 0800 555111.
