Firefighters called to blaze in Haynes Road, Gravesend

Firefighters were called to deal with a blaze at a flat.
Two crews were called to Haynes Road, Gravesend just after 9am to find the occupant and owner outside.
Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters went inside and tackled the flames.
Volunteers from The Red Cross were on hand to provide support.
The cause of the blaze, which started in the bedroom, is not known.
It was reported earlier a dog had died in the fire, but this has now been confirmed as untrue.
