Land Rover driver taken to hospital after crash with van in Harvel Road, Harvel

A Land Rover driver was taken to hospital after a crash between his vehicle and a van in Harvel.

Witnesses described how the Land Rover appeared to have swerved up a bank in Harvel Lane at around 2pm yesterday.

The air ambulance landed in Harvel

It was reported a man was trapped under the vehicle after it rolled over.

The man was said to be conscious, and a witness spoke of him complaining of pain to his hip and leg. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Rescue crews from the Kent Air Ambulance landed at a nearby field, together with two land ambulances and several police cars.

Harvel Lane was completely blocked, with police stopping vehicles from accessing the road. Diesel was also believed to have leaked from one of the vehicles onto the road.
