Driver assaulted after football kicked towards car in Gravesend

A man was pulled from his car and assaulted after a football was kicked at his vehicle in Gravesend.

Police say the man was driving in Dickens Road, at around 4.50pm on August 4, when he stopped because a football was kicked towards his car.

It is alleged a man pulled him from his car and assaulted him before damaging the vehicle with a piece of wood.

The suspect ran from the scene and officers are now appealing for witnesses to contact them.

A 20-year-old man from Gravesend was arrested on August 5 on suspicion of assault and criminal damage.

He was later bailed to return to the police station on August 26.
