Ebbsfleet manager Liam Daish warns side that they must be more creative or pay the penalty

Ebbsfleet manager Liam Daish has told his team they are playing a dangerous game.

Daish, pictured, was frustrated by Fleet’s failure to create out chances at Southport on Saturday and they paid the price after conceding a last-minute penalty.

The manager has called on his players to be more creative ahead of Saturday’s Blue Square Bet Premier home match against struggling Barrow.

He said: "At the end of the day, we’re looking to put the ball into the back of the net and we’re not giving our forwards enough chances to do that.

"We’re not getting the ball into the box early enough or with as much quality as we need. It’s a dangerous game to play being so wasteful because you leave yourself open to human error."

Defender Patrick Ada was shown a second yellow card for the challenge that led to Southport’s winner and will serve a one-match ban against Barrow.

Fleet could also be without full-back Ryan Blake for the second successive game after he injured his shoulder while training.
