Ebbsfleet are without a game this week which will be welcomed by two of the club's walking wounded.

Goalkeeper Preston Edwards (pictured) (ribs) and midfielder Liam Bellamy (ankle) were forced off by heavy challenges in the 4-1 defeat at Mansfield last weekend.

Daish was unhappy with the tackle that put Bellamy out of the game and set the tone for the match.

He said: "Liam got done over the top of the ball inside three minutes but there was no free-kick, no booking, nothing.

"We thought he’d broken his ankle at first." Straight away you could see how the referee was going to interpret the rules.

"There were a few late tackles and things he let go. You have to play within the rules but sometimes you have to give as good as you get and fight fire with fire."
