A two-year-old boy was rescued by fire fighters after he got stuck in his bathroom.

One crew from Northfleet's Thames-side fire station helped the boy up through the window of his two-storey home in Vale Road, Northfleet at midday today.

Ian Cleary, green watch manager, said: "He had shut the door rather forcefully and that caused the secure bolt to go across.

"He was a mischievous little lad and was actually quite excited by it all."
