Fire crews called to bedroom fire in Shamrock Road, Denton, Gravesend

Firefighters were called to a bedroom blaze early this morning.

The incident happened at a home in Shamrock Road in the Denton area of Gravesend and was attended by eight firefighters from Thames-Side Fire Station around 2am.

Eight firefighters attended the bedroom blaze

They were at the scene for an hour with the fire contained to an upstairs bedroom.

The cause of the blaze is not yet know but it is believed to have been accidental. No casualties were reported.

An ambulance also attended and two people were treated for the effects of smoke inhalation.
