Gravesham Borough Council will meet for the first time since the Government imposed Coronavirus restrictions, with two virtual meetings on Tuesday May 12.

An extraordinary meeting of the full council, to look at the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on Gravesham, will take place at 3.30pm, followed by the annual council meeting, which will feature the appointment of the new Mayor.

Council members and officers will join the meetings via video conference, while the public can view proceedings via a live stream on the council’s YouTube channel, youtube.com/graveshamtv.

Meanwhile Medway Council has already held three virtual meetings - cabinet, planning and full council.

At Medway's last full council meeting on Thursday April 23 it was agreed that the current mayor, Cllr Habib Tejan and deputy mayor, Cllr Jan Aldous, will remain in post until the annual meeting in May 2021.
