Private jets, designer children’s clothes, lavish parties, nannies and butlers – welcome to the lifestyle of Greenhithe’s very own lord and lady of the manor.

Sam Malin and his wife Irene are the owners of the impressive mansion house, Ingress Abbey.

Their home is already a well-known landmark on the Ingress Park housing estate and now the couple have become just as familiar with TV viewers after appearing in the latest Channel 5 series of Britain’s Flashiest Families.

The pair welcomed cameras into the 47-roomed house to give an insight into the luxurious lifestyle they share with their five children.

The programme showed Mr and Mrs Malin enjoying a date night on which they flew by private jet to Paris, at a cost of £1,500, and sipped Champagne all the way.

This was followed by a shopping spree and rounded off with dinner in a top restaurant.

Canadian geological engineer Mr Malin, 52, made his fortune in the gas and oil industry and met his wife during a business trip to her home country of Cameroon.

He said he often works 20-plus hours a day and likes spending his hard-earned cash on his family.

Mrs Malin, 35, grew up with nine siblings and told the programme makers it is because they had nothing that she enjoys spoiling their children with designer wardrobes and extravagant birthday parties.

“When I love something I buy it in every single colour,” she added.

Britain’s Flashiest Families, a two-part documentary series, also shows the couple throwing a garden party fit for the Queen at their home, which they are reported to have bought for £1.6 million and then spent twice as much renovating it.

The second episode will air on Channel 5 at 10pm next Wednesday.
